Tips for Troubleshooting Bluetooth Connection on your ELM327 Scanner
- Make sure your ELM327 Bluetooth Scanner and Smartphone/Tablet/PC are paired within the device's settings
- Make sure you have selected the correct Bluetooth device WITHIN the App or Software Settings
- Check to make sure your Smartphone/Tablet/PC are not automatically connected to your car stereo's Bluetooth. This would prevent it from connecting to your OBD2 Scanner
- Make sure other diagnostic apps aren't connected and running in the background
- Make sure your ignition is on or engine is running
- Try unplugging your OBD2 Scanner and plugging it back in
- Try turning off your Smartphone/Tablet/PC Bluetooth, then turning it back on
- Try unpairing the OBD2 Scanner from your Smartphone/Tablet/PC, then pairing it again
- Restart your Smartphone/Tablet/PC
